India defeated South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in the third and the final Test match at Ranchi to complete a 3-0 whitewash over South Africa on Tuesday, 22 October.

Team India gave an all-round performance in the Test series, with both batsman and bowlers taking responsibility throughout the three matches. With three double-centuries in the series and 20 wickets in each match, India dominated South Africa in every department.

Twitter lauded Team India on Tuesday, 22 October, for playing top-quality Test cricket and winning the series.

Indian cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “Outstanding display of cricket by to win the series 3-0. Very good to see all batsmen contribute & the wickets getting shared between the pacers & spinners. Dominating start to the World Test Championship”.

Cricket expert and commentator, Harsha Bhogle wrote, “A great catch and a bizarre dismissal this morning. But it took only 9 mins and 2 overs to produce India's biggest win over South Africa”.

Cricket expert Ayaz Memon wrote, “Well played , @imVkohli & Co. Easily the best Indian team ever in home conditions. Superb array of batsmen and bowlers (particularly in the pace department), hardy and deeply ambitious approach.”

Right-arm-spinner Harbhajan Singh also congratulated team India. He wrote, “3-0 as predicted congratulations @BCCI team india.. way to good for South Africa.. they have lots of work to do to get their team to that level”.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra wrote, “This is domination of a different kind...Didn’t lose ten wickets in an innings even once. Only one match went into the fifth day. Three different double centurions. Fast bowlers took 26 to spinners’ 32. Plenty to applaud. Well done.”
