Ahead of the showpiece match of the 2018 Asia Cup between India and Pakistan on Wednesday, 19 September, Indian tennis champion Sania Mirza decided to sign out of her social media accounts, citing her bitter history of being trolled during previous matches between the two countries as the reason for the same.

Mirza is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, one of the leading scorers for Pakistan against India.

In a tweet, she reminded her fans that it was "only a cricket match" and she wished to escape the "nonsense" that can make "a regular person sick, let alone a permanent one."

In August, Mirza swiftly took down trolls who sought to bring her down for wishing Pakistan a happy Independence Day.

Trolls had questioned Mirza’s “patriotism” when she married Malik as well.

However, just like her serves, the tennis star sets up good attacks each time!
