Twitter Buzzing With Wishes as ‘Lightning Boult’ Takes Hat-trick

Twitter was buzzing with wishes for Boult, who became the first New Zealand bowler to take a World Cup hat-trick.

Trent Boult returned in the final over of the Australian innings to give them a major jolt as he picked up a hat-trick to limit them to 243/9 in their 50 overs.

Boult picked up Usman Khawaja, Mitchell Starc and Jason Behrendorff off the final three deliveries of the over as he became the first Kiwi cricketer to take a hat-trick in a World Cup.

Australia lost wickets at regular intervals as Aaron Finch and David Warner was dismissed early. The middle-order of Steve Smith , Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell failed to make any substantial contribution as they needed support from the lower-order.
