Cheteshwar Pujara saved India the blushes on Thursday in Adelaide after the Indian top-order crumbled on Day 1 of the first Test. Pujara, who was run-out on the last ball of the day, scored his first century in Australia.

At the end of the day, Pujara in an interview to BCCI, said that he was looking forward to having his share of chocolate milkshake to recover from his energy-consuming innings.

Pujara’s century had taken its toll on and according to him, he had to ‘recover a lot, after it.’

I will have to see the physio, take a massage. It’s important to recover in time. Although, we’ve been playing a lot of cricket in India, but the heat in Australia has been different.

Not a big fan of ice bath, the batting star revealed that he was looking forward to have a ‘chocolate milkshake’ before he is back on the field on Day 2.

It has to be a milkshake, chocolate milkshake.

It was Pujara who rescued India after India were reeling on 41/4 at on Day 1. In the process, Pujara scored his 16th Test century, before getting dismissed for 123 runs. He hit seven boundaries and 2 brilliant sixes to take India’s total to 250 for 9 at stumps.

Pujara had received a great support from R Ashwin with whom he shared a 62-run stand for the 7th wicket. After Ashwin’s dismissal, the remaining batters could not be of much help as India lost two more wickets in quick succession.

At stumps, Mohammed Shami was batting at 6 while Jasprit Bumrah was yet to open his account. For Australia, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Nathon Lyon picked two wickets apiece.
