Captain Kohli Leads the Line for Coach Shastri’s Birthday Wishes

Chasing the dream of billions, the Indian cricket team and all the talk around them has become number one priority for every Indian, with the ICC World Cup 2019 all set to begin from 30 May.

India lost their first warm-up game against New Zealand by six wickets as the batting order crumbled for 179.

Amidst the preparations for the second warm-up game against Bangladesh, Indian cricket team coach, Ravi Shastri celebrated his 57th birthday on Monday, 27 May.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli took to twitter to wish the Indian coach on his birthday.

“A friend, mentor and above all a fantastic human being. Happy birthday Ravi Bhai.”

Vice Captain Rohit Sharma and Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also took to twitter to wish Shastri.

Shastri had been appointed as the coach of Indian team in July 2017, with skipper Kohli’s word to hand him the post specifically taken into account.

The 57-year-old also brings in his magical 1983 World Cup-winning experience and under his guidance and Kohli’s leadership, team India will be looking to win its second World Cup on English soil.

Team India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on 5 June at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground.
