Bollywood actress and producer Anushka Sharma has found herself in the middle of a controversy for her presence in a Team India picture at the Indian High Commission in London last week.
Sharma attended the event with her husband Virat Kohli who’s touring England with the Indian cricket team for the ongoing Test series. When the picture was posted by the BCCI’s social media handles, many asked why the actress was attending an event in which no other players’ families were present. Anushka’s spot in the picture also was questioned as she was seen standing in the front row while Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was relegated to the last row in the group picture taken outside the High Commission entrance.
Back in the country now and promoting her upcoming film Sui Dhaga, Anushka was asked to clarify her stand in the controversy and here’s what she said.
