India's Ronaldo Laitonjam created a new Asian record on Tuesday by clocking 10.065 seconds in the qualifying round of the men's junior 200m time trial event at the Track Asia Cup cycling competition in New Delhi.

Ronaldo, who had won two gold medals on Day 1, broke the previous record held by China’s Liu Qi, who had completed the race in 10.149 seconds in 2018.
India added three more medals to their tally of 12 that they won on Day 1 at the Indira Gandhi indoor stadium.

Punam Chand grabbed the silver, falling just short against Malaysia's Emam Firdaus Mohammad Zamri in the elite men's 4 km individual pursuit event. Dimitry Potapenko of Kazakhstan clinched the bronze.
