France’s midfielder Paul Pogba spoke on Thursday (12 July) about the World Cup final against Croatia on Sunday.

France won 4-3 against Argentina in the round of sixteen, 2-0 over Uruguay in the quarter-final and then 1-0 against Belgium in semi-final to reach this stage.

This will be France's third World Cup final in the last twenty years, winning in 1998 but losing in 2006.

France beat Brazil 3-0 in the 1998 World Cup, which was captained by Didier Deschamps, who is the current head coach of France. Deschamps' team will be looking to make amends for the Euro 2016 final, where they lost 1-0 to Portugal.

I really hope not to lose this final and to have some good vacations afterwards. Because my holidays after the Euro 2016 final were not good at all. I still have not fully digested it.

Pogba spoke about the mistakes France made in the Euro 2016 final.

We thought that the match was already won and I think that was our mistake. Now it is not the same. We are all very conscious, we are all focused, we don’t want to repeat that error that we made in the old days.
