Kidnapping Sachin Tendulkar could be England’s only saving grace in the ongoing series, joked former British Prime Minister David Cameron. Attending the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in Delhi, Cameron spoke about India, cricket and Narendra Modi.
England is currently touring India and losing 2-0 in the three Tests they have played so far. Talking about the two country’s common obsession for the “beautiful game of cricket”, Cameron said:
On a platform discussing the changes India needs, Cameron was optimistic of the country’s ‘progress’ and ‘potential’.
He even shared three life lessons that left the audience in splits. Cameron said:
India play the fourth Test in the five-match series against England on 8 January. They will also be playing three ODI and three T20 internationals later.
