Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja as the IPL franchises announced their list of retentions on Thursday in Mumbai.

It was of no surprise that CSK decided to retain the trio. Dhoni – who has led the side to two IPL titles – along with Raina and Jadeja have been architects of the team’s successful run at the IPL, before it was suspended for two years in July 2015.

Raina has not only been the leading run scorer for the side, but is also the highest scorer in IPL history, scoring 4,540 runs in 157 innings.

CSK, who will be making a comeback this season, has taken to Instagram to share videos of these three stalwarts signing for the team after they were retained.

In the video all three cricketers can be heard saying how much they have missed their former team and you can sense how eagerly they have been waiting for their second innings in the yellow jersey.

In the video we can see Dhoni, accompanied by his daughter Ziva, signing on the dotted lines to seal the deal. We can over hear somebody saying ‘Back home!’, before Dhoni nods and says, “Yes! Back home.” The countdown has begun. After this, CSK fans can’t wait for their ‘Thala’ Dhoni to put on that yellow jersey and lead the side in Chepauk.

Suresh Raina, couldn’t hide his excitement in his homecoming video. It looks like, Raina, who had the form of his life with the ‘Men in Yellow’, can’t wait to step inside Chepauk in his CSK jersey. Suresh Raina had captained the now defunct Gujarat Lions during the last two seasons.

Ravindra Jadeja, who is part of the Indian side touring in South Africa, also celebrated his return to CSK. The all rounder said he was happy to be back with CSK and even ended the video with the signature ‘Whistle Podu.’
