Asian Games Gold Medallist Amit Panghal Wants to Meet Dharmendra

Asian Games gold medallist Amit Panghal, the 22-year old boxer who outwitted the reigning Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov in the finals of the men’s 49kg bout, has said that he wants to meet actor Dharmendra.

If I could get to meet Dharmendra ji, my happiness would probably double.

Expressing his wish over Twitter on Saturday, 1 September, Panghal stated that his first tweet after the win is dedicated to his father and his coach. He further added – “Both my father and my coach are big fans of Dharmendra. They never let me change the TV channel even during commercial breaks between his films.”

Earlier on Saturday, Amit out-punched the Uzbek Dusmatov to win via a split decision, showing immense tactical brilliance.
