Ambedkar’s Statue Vandalised In UP’s Azamgarh

A statue of BR Ambedkar in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh was vandalised by some miscreants in the Bardah area, the police reported on 27 April, Saturday.

The local residents said that the statue was damaged on Friday night in the Chowki village and they noticed it on Saturday morning, after which they informed the police.

To prevent any chaos, the local administration has installed a new statue in its place, added the police.

The police has also stated that the situation is under control and the search for the suspects is on.
