We've seen Ranveer Singh cast his vote, then we saw Vivek Oberoi did it, and then we got to Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha's ‘indelible’ ink vanishing from his finger after he rubbed some nail polish remover – point is, we saw all that happen on social media.

This edition of The Big Story podcast is about social media – the one place you go to for all information – which is also the space you avoid for spoilers. Endgame dekha hai? Game of Thrones dekha hai? No? Then, stay away. But for elections, everything is happening here – ads, fake news, debates, propaganda. Whatever leaflets and rallies, hoardings we'd see in elections before – a lot of it just became digital. In fact it's so digital, we don't even need presidential debates like in the USA because all debates between political leaders in India are happening on Twitter.

This podcast is divided into three segments and we look at social media's role in this election season – the ads that are sneaking up on us, the fake news that's bombarding us and all the arguments that are happening online. Tune in!
