Thackeray, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amrita Rao, has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Uddhav, Aaditya and Rashmi Thackeray attended the music launch of the film with the cast and crew on Saturday, 12 January. The film, directed by Abhijit Panse, is set to release on 25 January. The music for the film has been composed by duo Rohan-Rohan.

The film is based on the life of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Amrita Rao makes a comeback to the screen as Meena Tai Thackeray, wife of the renowned political leader.
