Ekta Kapoor and family hosted a naamkaran or naming ceremony for her newborn son Ravie Kapoor in Mumbai on Monday evening 11 February. Celebrities from the film and TV industries along with family friends graced the event, many of them carrying present for the baby boy and Ekta. Among those present were Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan, Karan Johar, Swara Bhasker, Mouni Roy, Huma Qureshi, Farah Khan, Smriti Irani and many more.

Earlier this year, popular producer Ekta became a mother via surrogacy. She named her newborn son Ravie Kapoor after her father and veteran actor Jeetendra, whose real name is Ravi Kapoor. Her son was born on 27 January.
