For the first time since 2007, writers of most top shows in Hollywood have gone on a strike. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced on 1 May that over 11,500 members of its union would stop working as of 2 May, following the breakdown of their negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

As the strike rages on, social media is abuzz with some hilarious protest signs. I mean, they are writers for a reason!

Picket lines in New York and Los Angeles are not only filled with signs making fun of Netflix, HBO Max and other leading studios and executives, but the writers are also demanding a ban on AI generation of scripts for film or television. Hence, the scathing ChatGPT roasts!

Here are the top 10 signs from the WGA picket lines.
