Cheteshwar Pujara’s fighting hundred at Adelaide rescued India from a potential disaster on the opening day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Pujara’s gritty 123 – his 16th Test hundred – made him the first Indian batsman to hit a century in the first innings of a Test series opener in Australia.
