Jaipur Literature Festival has seen nine successful years and has kicked off into its tenth. The regular bigwigs were dutifully present on Day One.

The founders of JLF, William Darlymple, Sanjoy Roy and Namita Gokhale, inaugurated the festival. As the Shillong Chamber Choice gave the fest a musical start, noted lyricist Gulzar and poet and activist, Ann Waldman delivered their poetic keynote addresses.
