Israeli soldiers shot at an unarmed 13-year- old Palestinian girl who refused to stop at the West Bank check point, reported The Independent.

The Defence Minister of Israel said that the girl, named Baraa Eweisa, was shot in the leg and had been taken to a hospital on Wednesday.

The girl allegedly ignored warning shots the soldiers fired in the air before they shot at her. No weapons or explosives were found on her.

I came here to die.

This is what the girl reportedly told investigators during initial questioning.

However, Israeli officials claimed otherwise, saying that she had been shot as she tried to run away, also adding that another relative of the girl’s had been shot at the same spot earlier.

An Israeli court ordered her release, stating she was in possession of no explosives or arms.
