At least two people were killed and 18 others injured on Wednesday, when a motorcyle-borne suicide bomber struck a government vehicle in Pakistan’s Peshawar.

The blast occurred in the Hayatabad area of the restive city, police was quoted as saying by Geo News.

The blast happened as officials from the provincial government were expected to inaugurate the Out Patient Department (OPD) at the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Dawn News reported.

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and other senior party leaders were expected to attend the ceremony.

This was the third terrorist attack in Pakistan on Wednesday.

At least six persons, including four security personnel, were killed when two Taliban suicide bombers attacked the Mohmand Agency headquarters in the northwest tribal region.

Following this, another suicide bomber blew himself in Mosal Kor, Mohmand Agency, police said.

The incident comes barely two days after a suicide blast claimed by the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of the banned Pakistan Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP) ripped through the camp of protesting chemists in front of the Punjab Assembly in Lahore, that killed 13 people.
