In a televised address, Afghanistan CEO confirmed that three suicide bombers detonated explosives at the funeral site of senator's son Mohammad Alam Izdyar, reported TOLONews.
Abdullah was present in the funeral site at the time of the blast.

The Afghan Taliban, which has been responsible for many such attacks in the past, swiftly denied any role in the blasts and instead blamed the government and rival groups for the attack.
The Chief Executive Dr Abdullah’s official handle tweeted informing that he was safe and was not harmed by the explosions at the funeral ceremony of a senator’s son in Kabul.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday condemned the attack and called for the country to “stay strong and united”, in the wake of three explosions that took place near a funeral.
Calling it an “outrageous” attack on the mourners, he shed light on bringing in reforms as far as the security agencies are concerned.
At least 20 People Dead
At least 20 people were killed in three explosions on Saturday in Kabul near the funeral for a victim of violent clashes between Afghan police and protesters a day earlier, reported Al Jazeera, quoting Afghanistan Health Ministry officials.
It was also reported that the attack injured 35 people during the burial ceremony of the son of Senator Mohammad Alam Izdyar, who was killed protesting for more security in Afghanistan.
The funeral near which the blasts took place was for a senator's son, Mohammad Alam Izdyar, one of five people killed when police fired on demonstrators at a march in Kabul, reports the BBC.
The latest blast comes as Kabul is in a state of lock-down, with the diplomatic district under heavy patrolling. Earlier this week, a bomb attack killed up to 90 people in the city.
A massive explosion rocked the capital city of Kabul, Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing 80 people and injuring over 350 civilians.
The car bomb blast reportedly took place 1.5 km away from the Indian Embassy.
The blast site is said to be in the diplomatic quarter of the Afghan capital where several foreign embassies are located.
