Once again, Donald Trump has aired his less than savoury opinion on Barack Obama’s visit to Japan. Dismissing Obama’s visit to Hiroshima as “pathetic,” he went on to attack Obama for not mentioning the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack.

While campaigning in California, Donald Trump, in typical Trumpian discourse, criticised the American leadership for it’s “incompetence.”

Honestly folks, we have a leadership right now in this country, especially at the top, that is grossly incompetent. They don’t know what the hell they’re doing. So he’s in Japan, in Hiroshima, and that’s fine. Just as long as he doesn’t apologise, it’s absolutely fine. Who cares?

On Friday, Obama became the first US President to visit Hiroshima while in office.

Why do we come to this place, to Hiroshima? We come to ponder a terrible force unleashed in a not-so-distant past. We come to mourn the dead, including over 100,000 Japanese men, women and children, thousands of Koreans, a dozen Americans held prisoner.
