It seems the largest army of the world is not given good food for its soldiers term the food as “boring” and “tasteless”.

A report in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Daily has showed that most troops dislike the ration packs they are given during military exercises and drills and bring along their own food instead.

A survey was carried out among the troops of one of the PLA’s ration packs containing beef and vegetables. Close to 60 per cent of the soldiers urged for an improvement in its taste, which is not only boring but also affects their appetite.

PLA rations packs often contain high energy foods, such self-heated instant rice or noodles and luncheon meat.
