Explosion in Afghan’s Jaladabad, 2 Security Guards Shot Dead

An explosion was heard in the city of Jalalabad in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, reported TOLO News. This was the second blast in Afghanistan over the last 24 hours.

According to TOLO News, the Nangarhar governor confirmed two of MP Zahir Qadir's bodyguards being shot before explosion close to the MP's house in Jalalabad.

On Tuesday, at least five people died in an explosion that hit the Kabul Bank near Massoud Circle the Afghan capital Kabul close to the heavily protected US embassy compound, officials said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said the blast occured at the entrance to a Kabul Bank branch, not far from the embassy.

At least at least eight people were wounded in the explosion and have been taken to Wazir Akbar Khan hospital, Tolo News reported. There was no immediate word on casualties.
