A video showing a big explosion at a distance, with people scurrying to get away from the area, has gone viral on social media, where users have claimed that it shows a blast at Pakistan's army headquarters.
How did we find out the truth?: We ran a reverse image search on the video using Google Lens, which led us to an X post by Syrian journalist Qutayba Yasin.
Yasin had shared it on 18 March with an Arabic caption, which said that the clip showed a major fire at a fuel warehouse near the Misraba bridge in the Syrian city of Douma.
It shows a video from Syria.

Using Arabic keywords such as 'انفجار دوما سوريا' [Douma Syria explosion], we looked for more information regarding the blast.
This led us to a Facebook post by Sky News Arabia, which had shared the same video on 18 March as one of an explosion in Douma.
News reports by Syria TV and RT Arabic said that while the explosion left people injured, firefighters and civil defense personnel worked quickly to ensure that the fire from the blast did not spread to nearby establishments and houses.
Additionally, a keyword search for 'Pakistan army headquarters blast' did not yield any credible news reports, confirming that there no such incident took place recently.
Conclusion: A video of an explosion at a fuel depot in Douma, Syria, is being shared to claim that it shows a blast at Pakistan army's headquarters.
