An image of Indian Premier League (IPL) Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) scoreboard is being circulated on the internet to claim that Travis Head recently scored a century in just 19 balls during a practice match.

What did the image show?: The scorecard showed 401 runs as the total team score, with Head contributing 100 in 19 balls and Ishan Kishan scoring about 50 in 12 balls.

What is the truth?: The image has actually been altered to make it appear like SRH scored 401 runs. This makes the claim false.

How did we find that out?: Isolating the keyframes where the players could be seen playing, we performed a reverse image search and found a similar image posted on a Facebook page called 'Cricspirit.com'.

  • The image was uploaded on 16 March.

  • The scorecard at this exact point showed about SRH A team scoring about 104 runs in 5.4 overs with 2 wickets down.

  • Taking this forward, we checked the official YouTube channel of SRH and found the entire length of the intra-squad match that was played.

  • It was posted on 15 March with a title that said, "Intra-squad Match Simulation 1 | Sunrisers Hyderabad | IPL 2025."

  • At around the 1:30:06 timestamp, one could see the same visuals as seen in the viral image.

Comparing visuals: We compared the viral image to the visuals available in the YouTube clip and found that the former has been altered.

A comparison clearly highlights the similarities.

Conclusion: It is evident that the viral image has been edited to make it appear like Travis Head scored a century in just 19 balls during a practice match.
