An image showing Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra carrying a bag purportedly with text against Bangladeshi Hindus is going viral on social media.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on the image on Google and this led us to the original image shared by India Today's report.
This was shared on 16 December 2024 and shows Gandhi carrying a bag with a pro-Palestine message at the Parliament premises.
The report also stated that Gandhi's bag symbolised solidarity with Palestinians and earlier also criticised Israel's actions.

We also checked Gandhi's official Instagram account and found a video compilation of several visuals of her carrying this bag with pro-Palestine message.
The first image of the video also matched with the original image.

Another bag with message linked to Bangladesh: The next day in the Parliament, Gandhi did carry a bag which read in Hindi, "We stand with Bangladeshi Hindus and Christians."
She also shared about this on her social media platforms.
However, we did not find Gandhi carrying any tote which carried a message solely against Bangladeshi Hindus.
Conclusion: An altered image is going viral to claim that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra carried a bag with a message written against Bangladeshi Hindus.
