A video showing four men sitting inside a car is going viral on social media to claim that these are the "terrorists" who were involved in the recent Pahalgam attack.

• The claim also specifies that this video was recorded after the attack and shows them celebrating it.

What's the truth?: This video does not show attackers from Pahalgam terror attack.

• The video was shared by a content creator (_Sadiq999_), who is based in Azerbaijan.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to an Instagram account of a content creator, Sadiq (_Sadiq999_).

The account is based in Azerbaijan.

Sadiq is a creator based in Azerbaijan and he had shared this video on 11 April 2025, which predates the Pahalgam terror attack.

• Moreover, we did not find any credible news reports which indicated that this video is linked to Pahalgam.

• We have also reached out to the content creator for more context about the video.

• Sadiq also posted a story dismissing the claims and stating, "I am not a terrorist."
