How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to a video shared by cabin crew Yashika Sharma Sehrawat and her husband cricketer Ashish Sehrawat on Instagram.
This was shared early in the morning of 24 April 2025 and it showed the couple dismissing the viral claims.
They clarified that their video of dancing together in Pahalgam is being shared with false claims where people are linking them to Narwal.
They also added screenshots of Times Now, Moneycontrol Hindi, DNA and News24 India.
The caption stated that they are alive and are being misidentified as the Narwal couple.
We also reached out to the couple for confirmation who clarified that it's them in the viral video.
Sehrawat also shared details of the original video with us which was shot on iPhone 16 Pro on 14 April 2025, which predates the Pahalgam terror attack.
Conclusion: A video showing a couple dancing in Pahalgam is being falsely linked to Navy officer Vinay Narwal who got killed at Pahalgam terror attack.
Note: The story has been edited to add Sehrawat's quote and video details.
