A video of a female police personnel beating a woman inside what appears to be a bus is being circulated on social media platforms with users identifying the latter as singer Neha Singh Rathore.
What have users said?: Those sharing the clip have uploaded it with a caption in Hindi that says, "Neha Singh Rathore arrested, all of you raise your voice, otherwise no one will come forward to save democracy! This video has come to us through social media..."
(More archives of similar such claims can be accessed here and here.)
What's the truth?: The video does not show Rathore being arrested. It actually shows an activist, who was allegedly beaten while protesting against the Supreme Court's order on stray dogs.
How did we find that out?: We conducted a reverse image search using the help of Google Lens and found similar visuals uploaded on an Instagram handle named 'go.legal_'.
It was posted on 12 August and its caption said, "Tensions flared in CP as stray dog lovers protested against the recent Supreme Court verdict. While police moved in to disperse the crowd, several protestors were detained..."
The video was published on 12 August.

Other sources: Next, on searching on Google with the words "stray dogs woman slapped", we came across a Facebook post uploaded by The Times of India.
The video was uploaded on 13 August.
A closer look at the video showed that the woman in the video was not Rathore.
Rathore issues clarification: The singer took to her official X handle to clarify that she has not clashed with any personnel of the Delhi police.
The post, which was shared on 14 August, said, "A rumor is being spread that I had some clash with the Delhi Police…this is false news…I am currently safe at my home. Thanks to my well-wishers who showed so much concern for me…And to the blind devotees…I am writing new songs…will release them soon…be ready..."
Conclusion: It is evident that the video does not show Rathore being arrested by the Delhi as claimed in the viral post.
