A photo of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is going viral for all the wrong reasons. In the photo, Raje is seen sitting on the floor, with her eyes nearly closed. However, people on social media have made claims that she was under the influence of alcohol.

In a Facebook post, Jitu Mal Gujar, whose Facebook profile calls him a Congress party worker posted the photo, alleging that the photo was clicked in a certain 'Shakti Hotel', where Raje was resting after Gaurav Yatra event in Rajasthan.

The photo soon went viral with people making similar claims.

A certain user even claimed that Raje attended rallies in the morning and got drunk in the evening.

What’s the Truth?

Twitter user Er Laliya pointed out that the photo was actually a cropped version of the original, where she is seen listening to a godman.

The user also demanded Rajasthan Police take action against those propagating fake news.

While Shakti Hotels confirmed to The Times of India that Raje stayed at their hotel during the Yatra, they added that she did not have any visitors during her stay.

Therefore, it is likely that the picture was not even taken at the hotel.
