Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false as the video is edited.

• The original video shows singer Abdul Majeed Abdullah performing an Arabic song in Kuwait.

What we found: We took screenshots of a few frames of the video and ran a Google resverse image search on a few keyframes.

• It directed us to an Instagram post dated 8 June, showing the same video.

• The song featured in the video was not a devotional Hindu song but rather an Arabic song. The caption indicated that it was a performance by 62-year-old Abdul Majeed Abdullah.

• A closer examination of the comments section revealed that the concert occurred in Kuwait.

• We came across the video on Abdullah's official YouTube channel, which was uploaded on 27 May 2024.

• The details indicated that it originated from a concert held in Kuwait. This verified that the viral video originates from Kuwait, not Saudi Arabia.

• Moreover, the sound in the viral video was edited to feature a Hindu devotional track.

• We searched the name of the singer and found the same video on the Audiolab Event’s YouTube channel, uploaded on 31 May, with the caption: “Abdul Majeed Abdullah’s stellar performance of ‘Hala Besh’ in The Arena Kuwait 2024." (sic)

• The Audiolab Event organised the sound services and event installations for Abdul Majeed Abdullah’s concert at The Arena Kuwait in May.

• We were unable to verify the origin of the song used in the viral video.
