A video showing a drone striking a residential area is going viral on social media where users are claiming that the video shows Iranian drone attacking Israel territory.

What's the truth?: This video dates back to 2022 and shows drone attack in Kyiv, Ukraine.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to an old report carrying the same clip.

  • The report shared by Sky News on 17 October 2022 stated that it shows drone attacks in Kyiv, Ukraine.

  • It further states that the drone used in Kyiv were Kamikaze drones.
