Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false. No such statement has been issued by Khan or his team.

  • The News24 screenshot is also fake.

What we found: At first, we ran a relevant keyword search to find if Khan had spoken openly about donating to the people and cause of Gaza, amid ongoing conflict with Israel.

  • However, we did not find any reports highlighting this. Moreover, Khan has not spoken about Gaza and the overall issue in public at all.

  • We, then, reached out to his team and the official spokesperson denied the claim and called it, "false."

  • We, then, compared the viral graphic with one uploaded by News24 on their official handles and noticed some differences. There is a clear difference in font and spacing between the two images.

Here is a comparison between the two.

  • Additionally, we did not find any such graphic posted by the website of their bulletin or social media platforms.

  • The executive editor of News24, Manak Gupta confirmed to The Quint that the graphic was fake.

Conclusion: A fake graphic has gone viral that Khan will direct 50% of his earnings to Gaza from his new film
