Gajendra Singh’s family is struggling to come to terms with the grief that has ripped through his family in Rajasthan’s Dausa.

While AAP leader Ashutosh bawled on national television, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje casually dismissed the tragedy out of hand.

Why should I visit Dausa? It has come in newspapers... what is the issue? – Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, on being asked about a visit to Dausa

Raje’s comments stoked the ire of Congress leader Sachin Pilot, who attacked the Chief Minister saying that her remarks show ‘insensitivity and arrogance’ of the state government.

This shows arrogance and insensitivity of the government over the issue of farmers. Instead of Shah’s rally, the party and the government should have spent money for farmers welfare.
– Sachin Pilot, Congress Leader
