Congress President Rahul Gandhi, on Monday, 11 June, while addressing a national OBC convention in New Delhi, said that the country has been enslaved by a handful of BJP-RSS leaders, but the entire opposition will unite in six months to a year to make them realise that India will be run by its people and not just three persons.

Gandhi also took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that his government has ignored the interests of farmers, but has helped a small group of industrialists by waiving loans amounting to nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore.

'India Cannot Be Run by Three People, Oppn Will Unite in Six Months to a Year'

Addressing the OBC convention, Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will soon see India’s strength.

Today, our nation has been enslaved by two-three leaders of the BJP and the RSS. The entire opposition is getting together in six months to a year and Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat will see India’s strength.

"They will understand that India cannot be run by only three people. India will be run by people of the country," he said, drawing applause from the crowd.

He alleged that everyone, including MPs in the BJP, are afraid to speak out as they are not allowed to speak. "Only the RSS is heard," he said.

“The Congress party recognises the strength of the backward classes and wants to empower them by bringing them forward in politics,” Gandhi said, in a bid to win over the community of Other Backward Classes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year.

While addressing an OBC convention on Monday, 11 June, Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Narendra Modi government, alleging that the Centre helps only the industrialists.

Narendra Modi says that the country is short of skills, which is not true. The truth is that your talent is not being brought to light. Farmers, poor labourers are not getting anything for their work or skill.

He said that the Congress put the public in the driver's seat, however the BJP has given that responsibility to RSS.
