While addressing the Citizenship Amendment Bill during an interview on Times Now, PM Narendra Modi said, “No country is a dharamshala,” where there is no census of the actual citizens.
Modi further went on to hit out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi by stating that his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, supported the NRC in the context of the Assam Accord.
Addressing the issue of the government allowing Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi to escape the county before they could be apprehended for fraud, PM Modi said,

One of the Modi-led BJP government’s most criticised economic policy, demonetisation, has done nothing to withdraw public support for the policy, the prime minister claimed. He insisted that “only the dishonest have created an atmosphere that it is a draconian imposition on the people,” reported Times Now.
The PM further went on to say that linking demonetisation to joblessness was “mischievous”.
He also asserted that claims about rising unemployment are “fake”.
