Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appointed political satirist and actor Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi as the party’s Punjab convenor in place of Sucha Singh Chhotepur.
Chhotepur was removed from the post after a video clip surfaced which showed him allegedly taking bribes in exchange for poll tickets. The political affairs committee of the party cleared Ghuggi’s name for the post, adding that he will take charge soon.
