A common complaint in West Bengal is the lack of jobs and industry. Then, there is the huge debt the state government is in, problems of investment and land acquisition and the perception crisis the state faces.
The Quint caught up with Harshvardhan Neotia, one of West Bengal’s biggest businessman and chairman of the Ambuja-Neotia group. We spoke to him about Kolkata, the entrepreneurial spirit in Bengal and the way out of its current crisis. And since Mr Neotia is the co-owner (along with Sourav Ganguly) of ISL’s Aletico de Kolkata, we talked some football as well.
