Ajit Jogi Not a Party Working Committee Member Anymore: Congress

Jogi had threatened to form his own party if Rahul Gandhi was elevated as the party’s president.

• Congress General Secretary BK Hariprasad announced that former Chief Minister of Chattisgarh and rebel Congress leader Ajit Jogi is no longer a member of the Congress Working Committee.
  
  
• Jogi had on 2 June threatened to form his own party if Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi was elevated as the party’s president.
  
  
• Ajit Jogi and his son, Amit Jogi’s names had come up in the alleged fixing of the Antagarh assembly byelection, following which Amit Jogi was suspended by six year by the Chattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee.
