After he faced flak on his comments on the Pulwama attack that left 40 CRPF jawans martyred, posters denouncing Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu appeared in Jalandhar on Thursday, 21 February, ANI reported.

Posters with the slogan reading ‘General Bajwa da yaar, Sidhu Desh Da Gadaar’ (a friend of Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and a traitor) show Sidhu hugging the Pakistan Army Chief.

A day after 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in a terror attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Pulwama, Sidhu referring to Pakistan had said that an entire nation cannot be blamed because of a handful of people.

On Tuesday, 19 February, pictures of Sidhu were burnt in Punjab Assembly as a mark of protest against the Congress leader. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLAs also jumped into the Well of the House demanding the resignation of Sidhu over his remarks.

Sidhu Banned from Entering Mumbai’s Film City

According to DNA, a decision has been taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees to ban Sidhu from entering the Film City in Mumbai, where he used to shoot for ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

In a letter to the managing director of the Film City in Mumbai, the Federation stated that Sidhu should be banned from entering the premises of the Film City and its premises.

The demand comes after Sidhu was fired from the popular comedy TV show.

Recently, the Federation had also announced a complete ban on working with Pakistani artists in India.
