Pakistan and India have come a long way since independence. Both countries have re-built nations from scratch after a historic struggle for independence from the British colonisers.

As Pakistan and India prepare to celebrate Independence Day, on 14 and 15 of August respectively, here’s a comparative chart of how the countries fared.
