Schedule for Class 10 and 12 UP Board Exams Announced

The board exams for both Classes 10 and 12 is slated to begin on 7 February 2019.

The Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma released the schedule of the UP Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams of 2019, on Tuesday, 18 September.

The board exams for both Classes 10 and 12 is slated to begin on 7 February 2019. While the Class 10 exams are expected to wrap up by 28 February, the Class 12 exams will end by 2 March.

According to Sharma, the results for the Class 10 and 12 board exams will be released before 30 April 2019.

Exams Timings Declared

The Class 10 and 12 exams are scheduled to begin at 8 am in the morning and will be wrapped up by 11:15 am.

The exams taking place in the second half, will commence at 2 pm and be wrapped up by 5.15 pm.

Exam Schedule Affected by Kumbh Mela

According to India Today, the schedule for the UP Board exams, was made keeping in mind the Kumbh Mela, which is to be held between 15 January and 4 March 2019, to prevent any disruptions.

The Kumbh Mela usually takes place on the banks of the Sangam in Allahabad.

The exam schedule got reduced to 16 days as there will be one paper for one subject now. Introduction of NCERT pattern with one paper for English, one for Hindi, one for Mathematics and one for science paper has helped reduce the number of days.
