Unnao rape case accused Kuldeep Sengar has been brought to AIIMS in Delhi for the proceedings in a temporary court set up at the hospital, on Wednesday, 11 September.

Co-accused Shashi Singh has also been brought along with him.

District Judge Dharmesh Sharma, who will be recording the survivor’s statement, also arrived at the hospital.

After being granted permission by the high court, Sharma, on Saturday, gave directions for setting up a temporary court at the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS, where the woman is presently admitted following an accident on 28 July.

Earlier, on 2 September, a Delhi court had suggested holding part of the proceedings, in-camera, at AIIMS in the 2017 Unnao rape case, in which expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar is the key accused.
