A video of the Tis Hazari clash between lawyers and police, which took place on 2 November, has recently surfaced. It shows a group of lawyers vandalising a building as flames engulf a vehicle nearby.

It is unclear whether the lawyers were responsible for the fire or not.

Visuals which emerged earlier show a mob of lawyers attacking a female police officer, who was pleading to them with folded hands to not indulge in violence.

In another video, lawyers can be seen barging into the administrative area of the court and assaulting police officers.

Six cases were registered in connection with the clash, in which at least 20 police personnel and several lawyers were injured as well as many vehicles were vandalised, a Delhi Police spokesperson said on Sunday, PTI reported.

Attempts at mediation between the two groups have failed so far and lawyers, on Sunday, 10 November, decided to continue their strike.

Delhi High Court had directed Delhi Police Commissioner to transfer Special Commissioner Sanjay Singh and Additional DCP Harinder Singh, in connection with the case.

The Bench, comprising Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar, had also ordered a judicial inquiry by retired Justice SP Garg into the clash, noting that it should be completed within six weeks.
