Terrorists Shoot Dead Civilian in J&K’s Baramulla District

Terrorists on Saturday, 30 March, shot and killed a civilian at the Main Chowk area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla, ANI reported.

The civilian was identified as 35-year-old Arjumand Hussain Bhat, a resident of Old Town in Baramulla, as per News18.

The news channel reported that Bhat was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was a chemist by profession.

Bhat’s body has been handed over to his family. Police investigation is underway.

Local journalist Sameer Yasir also tweeted about the incident. He said that Bhat was a known social activist.

Aditya Raj Kaul, a journalist who knew the victim, said that Bhat was quite vocal against Hurriyat and Pakistan-sponsored terror.
