A woman in Tamil Nadu was allegedly pushed out of a moving SUV in an attempt to kill her last month by her husband and in-laws.

A video from Coimbatore shows the woman falling out of the moving SUV. This incident took place after Aarti, along with her two children, had moved back to her husband's house as he promised her a fresh start, reported NDTV.

The husband, Arun Jude Amalraj, is allegedly abusive. He and his parents are currently absconding.

Turbulent Marriage

The couple had a shaky relationship ever since they got married in 2008. In 2014, Aarti decided to end the marriage and moved back to her parents' house in Mumbai.

A domestic violence case is pending in the Mumbai High Court, however, the victim agreed to give their marriage another shot.

The family went on a family trip to Ooty in May. Aarti alleged that the vacation soon turned into a nightmare as her husband again assaulted her and the children. As per NDTV, she filed a complaint in Ooty. But she came back with Arun after he wrote a written apology .

‘They Want to Kills Us’

On 9 May, the trouble started again when, despite his written promise to keep the parents away, he brought his parents home in his car.

When Aarti objected and questioned him, he allegedly punched her and pushed her out of the car. In the CCTV footage, she could be seen falling from the car on the road and the vehicle moves on.

Aarti sustained injuries on her head, knees and shoulders.

“They want to kill us. It’s heart wrenching and life threatening. My son saw his dad outside his school and is traumatised. They could target my children. How do I go out to earn my living? Police say he is absconding. There has to be timely justice.”

Police have charged Arun with criminal intimidation, causing hurt and attempt to murder.

Senior Police Office in Coimbatore told NDTV, "The family is absconding. Our teams went to Chennai once but then, they were absconding. We were told they are in Trichy (Tiruchirappalli) but they were not there as well. We are on the lookout for them. Once they are arrested, the law will have its course."
