  • The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Bombay High Court to speed up the case of actress Jiah Khan, investigation of which is currently being handled by the CBI. The Bombay High Court will now hear the matter on 7 June.

  • In her plea to the apex court, Jiah’s mother Rabiya Khan claimed that the trial court was not hearing the matter properly, adding the case was being heard without the presence of a Special Public Prosecutor. She had also requested for an SIT to probe the case.

  • 25-year-old actor Aditya Pancholi is accused in the case and has been charged by the CBI with abetting the suicide of Jiah, with whom he was in a relationship.
