The Hyderabad police arrested two Rohingyas for possessing 1,400 tablets of the banned Yaba drugs on Friday, 11 January, reported ANI. The duo who have been identified as Abibus Rehman and Mohd Rahim were apprehended after police officials of Balapur conducted searches based on a tip off.
They were found to be carrying 1400 tablets of the banned Yaba drug, also known as the ‘Mad Drug’.
The accused have been booked under Sections 8 (c) Read With 20 (i) A of NDPS Act 1985 and 199, 200, 420 IPC. They were allegedly selling each Yaba tablet for Rs 150.
The police is now investigating further into the main source from where the drug was purchased by the two accused. The banned Yaba drug is a mix of substances like Cathine and Methamphetamine, which is a narcotic drug.
