Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, 6 March met 30 envoys of G-20 nations and neighbouring countries at Delhi’s Taj Mahal Hotel over lunch.

“We discussed a wide range of issues & are united in our fight against the scourge of terrorism,” Gandhi tweeted.

The Congress president was accompanied by Sonia Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh as they met ambassadors and high commissioners of the countries.

The meet, initially scheduled for 15 February, was called off by Rahul Gandhi following an attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama that left 40 CRPF jawans martyred.

The ambassadors of USA and China were present at the meet, among others. Envoys from Sri Lanka and Nepal were also expected to be present.

Ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, BJP's then prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had a similar interaction with envoys of EU and also met the British High Commissioner.
